The Furball Open

The 18th Anniversary of the FurBall Open

After years of friends limping over and tapping me on the shoulder during the FurBall Open 3-on-3 basketball tournament with the "suggestion" that we switch the event to golf, we finally made the move to the links in 2008.  It turned out to be a GREAT move, not only because of how much fun the event was but also because over the past nine years we have generated $51,000 (golf tourney revenue only) for the Scott Hughes Endowment Fund in the new format.

I hope everyone is able to join us again this year...see you at the FurBall!

Event Details

Date and Time

Monday, May 21st, 2018. 11:30am Shotgun start.

The Oregon Golf Club
(25700 Petes Mountain Road/West Linn, Oregon 97068)

Net Blind Draw Match Play. What does this mean?

  • Everyone plays their own ball.
  • In the interest of time, 8 will be the highest score on any hole. Before hitting your 9th shot, pick up and take a "X" on the hole.
  • Players will be placed by random draw into a NCAA-style bracket while playing.
  • At the end of the tourney, during the post golf dinner, we will "match cards" head to head to take players through the bracket until we determine a champion.
  • The tournament will be played out based on net scores. We will, however, have prizes for low gross score as well.
  • Additional prizes will be awarded for long drive and KP holes.
Dinner/Awards Ceremony
Entry fee includes dinner at the Oregon Gold Club following the tournament. Additional dinners for family members may be purchases as part of your entry (see registration page).
